Nina Sue Rogers-King Cannon

Nina Sue Rogers-King Cannon of Leesburg, GA., died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Palmyra Road United Methodist Church. Rev. Larry and Rev. Beth King will officiate. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Denton, GA.

Nina was born in Alma, GA to late Bill and Geneva Rogers. She was a 1963 graduate of Jeff Davis High School. Nina enjoyed talking on the phone to her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and taking trips down to their river house. Nina enjoyed shopping and spending time looking at the different items with her daughter and family. She was a great cook and was known at church dinners for her special dishes. Nina was a member of Philema Road Baptist Church and actively participated with the Palmyra Road United Methodist Church women’s ministry, where she enjoyed quilting with her friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Vernell Hearn, two brothers, Billy Rogers and Bobby Rogers and her late husband Jack King, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Cannon, Sr., her children, Larry King (Beth), Sherry Mosley, Bobby Joe Cannon, Jr. (Donna) and Larry Cannon (Tammy), her grandchildren, Jake King (Tailor), Justin King (Kayla), Caitlin Roberts, Jessica Cannon, B.J. Cannon, Gabrielle Cannon, Katie Cannon and Ashley Cannon and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
