Neva Jean Carr

Neva Jean Carr,75, of Newton, GA, died December 2, 2022 at her residence.  No services will be held at this time.

Neva was born in Camilla, GA on July 18, 1947 to Warren and Christine Johnson.  She was raised in Baker County, GA where she attended public schools.  Neva and her husband owned and operated at Grocery Store in Bainbridge, GA for many years before returning to Newton, GA to live with her cousins, Linda Hudson.  She was a homemaker and businesswoman and in her recent years enjoyed watching TV and dining out.  In addition to her parents, Neva was preceded in death by a son, Trace Everson.

Survivors include her daughter, Krista (Mike) Lewis of Pelham, GA, a brother, Jerry (Lynn) Johnson of Blairsville, GA, a grandchild, Ashley Lawrence (Jamie) of Thomasville, GA, her great granddaughter, Scottie Claire, and numerous cousins including special family, Linda Hudson of Newton, GA.
