Nelma Jo Pressley

Nelma Jo Pressley, 87, of Leesburg, GA died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at Tift Memorial Gardens, Tifton, GA. Rev. Chip Gresham will officiate.

A native of Marshall County, AL, born to the late Allen and Jewell Gilbreath Allen, Mrs. Pressley grew up in Tifton, GA and had resided in the Albany, GA area since 1959. She was employed with MacGregor Golf for nineteen years. Mrs. Pressley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard H. Pressley and a daughter, Linda Pressley Barnes.

Survivors include two daughters, Bertha Diaz and her husband, Victor of Lindenhurst, NY and Brenda Wilson and her husband Witcher of Albany, GA, a brother, Henry Allen of Sparks, GA, two sisters, Angelene McKuhen of Jacksonville, FL and Dot Chaney and her husband, Alton of Frankfort, KY, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family will be at the residence of Brenda and Witcher Wilson, 118 Shady Glen Lane, Albany, GA, 31721.
