Nellie Ruth ""Granny"" Cook

Nellie "Granny" Cook, 90, of 524 9th Ave., Albany, GA died Monday, October 3, 2011 at Palmyra Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Tillery and Mike Trull will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Brushey Creek, AL Mrs. Cook had resided in Albany, GA since 1962 moving from Enterprise, AL. She was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God Faith. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Robert Cook, two sons, William Cook and Robert Ester, a daughter, Dorothy Pendleton, five grandchildren, Ronald Pendleton, Amanda Cude, Tammy Cook, Woody Cook and Paul Cook, a great-grandson, Shane Lee.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Cude of Worth County, GA, three sons, Johnny Cook, Raymond "Buddy" (Joann) Cook all of Albany, GA and Tommy Cook of King, NC, twenty three grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
