Myrtle Lois Davidson

Myrtle Lois Davidson, 88, of Albany, GA, died November 9, 2014 at Pruitt Health-Palmyra. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church. Rev. Al Wilbourn and Rev. Jerry Deans will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Bay, GA in Colquitt County, born to the late George and Addie Bell Bryant, Mrs. Davidson moved to Albany, GA in 1948. She was a longtime employee of Bishop's Cleaners on Slappey Drive in Albany and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac A. Davidson, Sr. and a son, Isaac A. Davidson, Jr.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Stephanie Gatlin and her husband, Jamie and Anita Gibson all of Albany, GA, a step-granddaughter, Faye Curtis of Vienna, GA, two step-grandsons, David Andrew Newell and his wife, Laura of Albany, GA and Michael Newell of Cordele, GA, a brother, Charles Bryant and his wife, Faye and a sister, Penny Allegood and her husband, Harrell, all of Moultrie, GA and three great-grandsons, Michael, Noah and Matthew.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
