Miriam Vivian Blount

Miriam Vivian Blount, 75, of Albany, GA, died Saturday September 17, 2011 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 19, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Wrightsville, GA. Her brother, Rev. Danny Barton will officiate.

A native of Lyons, GA, Mrs. Blount had resided in Albany since 1984 moving from Macon, GA. She was a retired nurse from Miller Brewing, a member of the Georgia Nurses Association and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Blount was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 56 years, Paul Kenneth Blount, and a son, Hal Kenneth Blount, both of Albany, GA. She was a proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Haley, Ken and Anna and two great-grandchildren, Camryn and Kyle. She is also survived by one brother, five sisters and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
