Minnie Ella Hartley Gardner

Minnie E. Hartley Gardner, 89 of Albany, GA died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at Mathews Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Rev. Doc Rufus Williams and Rev. Mark Knight will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Lee Co., GA, Mrs. Gardner was a homemaker and a member of Thundering Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Zedrick Gardner, two sons, Albert Gardner, Davis Carlton Gardner, a daughter, Nellie Ann Gardner, a grandson, Jason Lewis Gardner, and a granddaughter, Marilyn R. Gardner Allen.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Gardner and his wife Susie, Albany, GA, Robert Gardner and Roger Gardner both of Leesburg, GA, a daughter, Patricia Ann Burk and her husband Paul of Albany, GA, three brothers, Ual Hartley , Dock Hartley, Jr., and Harold Hartley, a sister, Grace Bowden all of Leesburg, GA and fifteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Danny C. Gardner, Sr., 1428 Ken Garden Road, Albany, GA 31701.
