Mildred Reaves Taylor

The funeral service of Mildred Reaves Taylor, 95, of Albany, GA, who died May 29, 2011 at Palmyra Nursing Home, will be conducted Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Pollock and Ginny S. Hayman, Ladies Neighbor Hood Bible Study will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Atlanta, GA at 3:00 P.M.

A native of Canon, GA, Mrs. Taylor had lived in Albany since 1985 moving from Hapeville, GA. She was a retired School Teacher and taught at North Ave. School in Hapeville, GA, a graduate of Georgia State College for Women and received her Teacher Degree from Georgia State College. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the Vota Vita Sunday School Class. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry W. Reaves, Jr. and William Fred Taylor.

Survivors include a daughter, Becky Rae Reaves of Sand Point, ID, a son, Don Henry Reaves of Eufaula, AL, a grandson, Henry Taylor Reaves and his wife Kelly Reaves of Hoover, AL, two great-grandchildren, Jordan Bailey Reaves and Jackson Henry Reaves.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until Funeral time at Mathews Funeral Home.
