Michael Lee Steger, Jr.

Michael Lee Steger, Jr, 55, of Albany died Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Per his wishes, Mr. Steger was cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Michael was born in Chicago, IL on April 16, 1964 to the Michael L. Steger, Sr. and Pamela Steger Schroeder.  He was a skilled tradesman working as a Carpenter for most of his life.  Michael was a giving person who cherished his family and close friends.  He was always ready to help someone in need and often did tasks for family and friends without being asked or expecting thanks.  Michael will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving mother, Pam Schroeder (George) of Albany; his sister, Michelle Petkus (Terri DeForest) of Albany; his brother, James Daniel Steger of Kentucky; and a host of beloved extended family members and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Lee Steger, Sr. on March 2, 2019.
