Michael "Mike" Ray Bowyer

Michael Ray "Mike" Bowyer, 70, of Leesburg, GA passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Leesburg City Cemetery.

Mike Bowyer was a football and baseball athlete in high school at Lee County High School. He was born in Albany, GA and raised and lived most of his life in Leesburg GA, except for just a few years in Atlanta GA. Later he worked several jobs like Proctor and Gamble, dispatcher for trucking companies, Fred's bait and tackle before owning his own tile business with M&B Tile, where he did beautiful work laying tile. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. He never met a stranger. He loved to fish and started out as a young boy fishing with his parents and then later with all his grands. He loved Jesus and learning more of the Bible.

His parents E. J. and Sara Bowyer, brothers Bobby and Jerry Bowyer and sister Joanne preceded him in death. Survivors include his brother Ronnie (April) Bowyer, sister, Patricia Bowyer Graham. He has three children Kelley Jo (Brantley) Spindle, Shane Bowyer, and Krissy Bowyer, ten grandchildren Everett Morton, Skylar Medlin, Annabelle Morton, Roth Medlin, Asher Medlin, Ireana Medlin, Averie Bowyer, Koral Medlin, Kyley Spindle and Emery Bowyer He has several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

The family has chosen Pretty Wild Designs to create all floral tributes for the service. In keeping with the families wishes, any additional funds received beyond the cost of the floral arrangements will be donated by the family in memory of their loved one. The family will receive friends at their residence following the graveside services until 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
