Michael Paul Henderson, 68 of Albany, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Willson Hospice House. A memorial service will be held in Andersonville National Cemetery at a later date.
Michael was born in Marion, Indiana on October 28, 1954 to the late Richard and Catherine Maxine Henderson-Brown. In his early twenties he joined the United States Air Force and served his country for seventeen years until his retirement. After the military, he moved to Albany, Georgia in 1995 and was employed with Cummins Power South for eleven years and, for the next twenty years, he worked with Flint Ag & Turf as a generator technician.
Michael was member of the American Legion Post #30 and The Harley Owners Group. He was a part of the Legion Riders where he and Maxine participated in many fundraisers the organization held. Those who new Mike were fond of his wit and commentary regarding the world around him. His straightforward attitude and candid honesty will be missed by all. He will be greatly missed by his family for whom he cared deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Richard Henderson.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Maxine Henderson of Albany, GA, his children, Michelle Talley (Jeff) of Valdosta, Nathan Rausch (Marion) of New Jersey, Carrie Mendoza (Anthony) of Capitola Cal. and William Rowan (Tiera) of Columbus, GA. Grandchildren, Megan Weaver, Amanda Talley, Caitlin Weaver, Anela Mendoza, Stacey Rowan, Cora Mendoza, Ava Liu, Charlotte Rowan, Spencer Talley, Odin Rausch, and a sister Judy Pence.
