Maurice W. Johnson, Sr

The funeral service of Maurice W. Johnson, Sr., 79, of Albany, GA who died Saturday April 2, 2011 at Willson Hospice House will be conducted Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Minister Doug Haught will officiate. Interment will follow in the Blakely City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

A native of Malone, FL, Mr. Johnson had resided in Albany, GA for the past fifty seven years. He was retired from Kinnett Dairies and was a member of the Beattie Road Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Acen Vince Johnson and Etta Mae Rogers Johnson and a son, Maurice Wilton Johnson, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Johnson, Albany, GA, a son, Joey Johnson, Elijay, GA, a daughter, Dianne Johnson Graham, Kathleen, GA, five granddaughters, Michelle Lakeman, Julie Harrod, Kari Russell, Jeri Curtis, Alison Holloway, two grandsons, Joshua Bowyer, Jamie Bowyer and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
