Matthew Hunter McClure

Matthew Hunter McClure, 9, of Canton, GA passed away peacefully with family Monday, February 13, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home with interment to follow at Leesburg Cemetery.

Born in Enterprise, AL, Hunter had resided in Adel, GA most all of his life before moving to Canton, GA. He attended Cook County Primary School in Sparks, GA. He was a straight A student, talented in arts, was active in musicals and loved poke'mon. He would share anything he had with his friends, never met a stranger and loved riding with his father in his semi.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William L. Tillman, Jr. and his aunt, Ashley Tillman.

Survivors include his parents, Matthew and Candice McClure, Canton, GA, siblings, Cooper McClure, Nadia McClure, Nara McClure and Tristan McClure, grandparents, Mary Tillman,  Donnie and Bonnie Harnage, uncle, Brian Braswell (Keith Williams), cousin, Kelly Tillman and numerous family members all of Canton, GA.  

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home.
