Mary Lyda Little

Mary Lyda Little, 88 of Leesburg, GA died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her daughter's residence. The family will be at Mathews Funeral Home on Friday, November 4th to receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Leesburg Congregation. Steve Dyes, Sr. will officiate. Committal services will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Talladega, AL, Mrs. Little moved to Albany, GA in 1957 and had resided in Lee Co, GA for the past twenty nine years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all those who knew her. Her greatest joy was in being an accomplished homemaker and participating in the door to door ministry of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar M.J. Little, Sr., a son, Billy Wayne Little, and a grandson, Alan Scott Little.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Little and his wife, Sandra of Tallahassee, FL, Oscar M.J. Little, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Baconton, GA, three daughters, Betty Peavey and her husband, Bob of Leesburg, GA, Janet Boucher and her husband, Bill of Baconton, GA and Rebecca Wray and her husband, Ronnie of Leesburg, GA, a sister, Paulene Edgell of Orange County, CA, eleven grandchildren, Danny, Heath, Kathleen, Rob, Dusty, Donald, Bryan, Michelle, Billy, Heather and Amy. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will be at the residence of Rebecca and Ronnie Wray, 493 Creekside Drive, Leesburg, GA, 31763.
