Mary C. Jordan

Mary C. Jordan of Sasser, GA., died Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at her residence. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

Mary was born in Union Point, GA., to the late Harold and Evelyn Cannon. She was employed with Sears for over forty years and later went on to open and operate Village Gifts in Sasser. Mary was an avid animal lover and loved her pets over the years. She was an active member of Sasser Baptist Church until her health declined.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Jordan, her sisters, Martha Cannon, Sara Cannon, Millie Croft, Bennie Ruth Matthews and Annette Rainwater and a good friend D.E. Short.

Survivors include her brothers, Harold Cannon and Jim Cannon (Alma) and several nieces and nephews.
