Mary Catherine Sammons Barfield, 79, of Dawson, GA died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson. Rev. James Sapp will officiate.

Survivors include her husband, Guy L. Barfield, a son and his wife, James Barfield and Maria all of Dawson, GA, brother, Billy Sammons, and wife Carolyn, New Market, AL, sister, Linda Sammons Pettit and husband John, Columbia, TN, grandchildren, Lauren McCook and husband Jake, Leesburg, GA, Logan Barfield, Atlanta, GA and a great-grandson, James McCook.

The family will receive friends following the services at graveside.
