Marsha Renee Tanner-Davis

Marsha Renee Tanner-Davis of Albany, GA died Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Turner will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery in Doerun, GA.

Marsha was born to the late Norman and Lossie Tanner. When she was younger, she enjoyed playing softball. Marsha was a strong woman who loved people and more importantly, her family. She loved music of all genres and enjoyed dancing. Marsha worked as a stay-at-home mother, who was a great cook and enjoyed doing laundry. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Jelaine Clark, Glenn Tanner, Alvin Tanner, Ronnie Tanner and Mack Tanner.

Survivors include her children, Stephanie Smith (Mike) of Springfield, GA., and Jason Davis (Alex) of Albany, GA., her grandchildren, Tabby (Tyler), Samantha, Chelsey (Jay), Gage (Lauren), Kristi, Kayla (Josh), Cameron, Ellis and Lillyann, her surviving siblings, Imogene Harrah (Bobby), Terry Tanner (Diane), Debra Tharpe and Toby Tanner, her brother-in-love, Jimmy Clark, her sister-in-love, Polly Tanner and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
