Marilyn Emily Bowen

Marilyn Emily Bowen, 67, of Albany, GA, died Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Sherwood Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Ken Bevel will officiate. Interment will be in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in in Albany, GA, Marilyn was employed with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for forty plus years. She loved photography and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, E. C. Bowen and Thelma Christine Shiver Bowen and a brother Mark Bowen.

Survivors include two nieces, Tandre Holland Moody and Amber Bowen Dyson (Allen), a nephew, Vince Holland, great nieces, Cadence Moody, Allei Dyson, great-nephew, Jay Bowen, numerous adopted nieces and nephews, best friends, Peggy Vernor, Donna Askew, Phyllis Hammers, a special family, The O’Connor Family and numerous cousins

In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorials in memory of Marilyn Emily Bowen to Albany Humane Society, 1705 W. Oakridge Dr., Albany, GA, 3721 or Sherwood Baptist Church, 2201 Whispering Pines Road, Albany, GA, 31707.

The family will receive friends following the services at Sherwood Baptist Church.
