Margaret E. Swearingen

Margaret E. Swearingen, 89, of Albany, GA, died February 6, 2022 at Pruitt Health-Palmyra.  Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Rev. Jimmy Hall and Mr. Frank Simpson will officiate. 

Mrs. Swearingen was born in Crockett’s Bluff, AR on February 4, 1933 to Albert and Florence Dallas.  She married Jack W. Swearingen in 1950 in Holly Springs, MS.  Mrs. Swearingen had lived in Albany, GA since moving from Big Springs, TX in 1976.  She was employed with Miss Jan’s Nursery for many years and also was a self-employed caregiver.  Mrs. Swearingen enjoyed crafts, her family and puzzles.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Swearingen and a son, Warren Swearingen.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie L. Harrison of Albany, GA, her nephews and nieces, Roger (Kathy) Mitchell of Dewitt, AR, Rev. Michael (Robin) Hollowell of Wynne, AR, Marla Beth (Dwayne) McGowan of Van Buren, AR and Kevin (Brenda) Mitchell of Mayflower, AR, a step-great-grandchild, Elizabeth Spargo of Albany, GA, her step-great-grandchildren, Keanna, Zack and Harley and a great-niece and great-nephew, Sara Hollowell and Ben Hollowell.
