MacKenzie Nichole Lindsey

MacKenzie Nichole Lindsey, 20, of Albany, GA, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

MacKenzie was born on January 29, 2006 in Albany, GA to Jesse Felton Lindsey and Leigh Ann Blanton. She was a resident of Lee County, GA for most of her life. She attended Lee County School System and finished her education online, graduating a year early from Penn Foster in 2023.

MacKenzie was employed with Tara Foods. MacKenzie attended Lakeside Baptist Church. MacKenzie known as “Mack” loved her family, her mother, sister, oma, and her daughter, Nova Dior was the light of her life and her entire world. Mack had a sweet soul and a gentle spirit, to know her was to love her.

MacKenzie liked to swim, fish, play cards and she also enjoyed cooking. Growing up you could always find her at her PaPa Joe’s side. This is where her willingness to help others started. She had a special love for all animals, especially her dogs, GiGi, Bear and Sunny and her cats Lady and Bud.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joseph “Papa Joe” Blanton.

Survivors include her daughter, Nova Dior Edwards, her mother, Leigh Ann Blanton, her father, Jesse Felton Lindsey, her sister, Madison Lindsey, her maternal grandmother, Pat Blanton and her paternal grandmother, Debbie White.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.
