Lynwood Belcher

Lynwood Belcher, 70, of Albany, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

His funeral service will be Tuesday, August 31, 2021 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens.  Dr. Jerry Kennedy will officiate.

A lifelong resident of Albany, Mr. Belcher was retired from Jones Welding Supply, was the owner of Antique Engineering and Belcher and Belcher, LLC.  He attended Friendship Baptist Church in Lee County and was a Blacksmith.  Mr. Belcher was a member of The 4th Georgia Artillery Brigade and also a member of The Bushy Creek Muzzleloaders.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Vivian Belcher and his first wife Myra J.  Belcher.

Survivors include his wife Elaine Belcher, son, Mitchell Belcher (Becky), Melanie Starnes (Wayne), Jessica Belcher, stepson, William Denningham, grandchildren, Danielle Starnes, Emma Starnes, Rhiannon Belcher, Rylee Belcher, Ciara Denningham, great grandchild, Emersyn Harris, sister, Pam Addison (Terry), niece Amy Wilson (Ronnie) and a nephew Michael Addison.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
