Lydia was born on September 27, 1943 in Worth County, GA to Clara Mae and Thomas Jefferson Stone. She graduated from Worth County High School in 1961 and met a young Marine, Jimmie Clifford “Jimbo” Rensch, stationed in Albany in 1961. They married in 1961 and lived in Ohio from 1966 until 1975.
Lydia and family returned to Albany and was employed with Sunnyside Baptist Church for twenty years as the Pastoral Secretary, and served Byne Memorial Baptist Church until her retirement in 2011 in the same capacity. Lydia is most known for loving her family/friends and having a million dollar smile, which she had most days despite her medical condition. She was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church, a dedicated Braves Fan, loved the Georgia Bulldogs, playing/FaceTiming on her iPad, and watching her stories (“Days of Our Lives” and “Young and Restless”). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie C. Rensch and brothers, John Allen Stone and Harry Lee Stone.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina Rensch Fraser (Lacey) of Lee County, GA, her grandchildren, Kayla Marie Fraser of Lee County, GA, Zane Fraser (Anna) of Lee County, GA, and Zack Fraser of Moultrie, Ga, her siblings, Carl Stone of Athens, GA and Sarah Liebold of Douglasville, GA, her great-grandchildren, Kipton Fraser and Kashlyn Fraser, her great-granddog, Ella Mae, a host of nieces and nephews, and a special family friend, Ms. Linda. We would also like to give special love and thanks to The Fraser Family (Ma, Jan, and others) who never failed to support her, pray for her, and love her like she was their own.
Those desiring may make memorials in memory of Lydia to The Children’s Miracle Network at https://donate.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/ or 205 W 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
