Lucretia S. Watkins

Lucretia S. Watkins, of Lee County, GA died Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Andrew Kornegay and Rev. Mark Watkins will officiate.

A native of Albany, GA, Lucretia was born to Joseph J. and Margaret L. O’Neal Sapp. She graduated from Westover High School and studied accounting at Albany Technical College. In 1999, she moved to Lee County, GA and enjoyed fishing and searching for bargains at yard sales. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Cleve Bedford, and her son, Joey Watkins.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Watkins of Lee County, GA, her son, Adam Watkins of Lakeland, FL, her daughter, Nicole Watkins of Warner Robins, GA, six grandchildren, three sisters, Brenda Simpson of Fairfax, VA, Rita Gregory (Harold) of Hiawassee, GA, and Sheila Orlando (Bob) of Haysville, NC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mathews Funeral  Home.
