Lois Lott Tucker

Lois Lott Tucker, 99, of Albany, GA, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at Floral Memory Gardens. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Tucker was born in Willacoochee, GA at home on January 12, 1927. She grew up and graduated from Willacoochee High School. She married Gladstone “Daton” Tucker and in 1950 they moved their family to Albany, GA.

Mrs. Tucker was a wonderful mother and homemaker but also worked outside the home at W.T. Grants until they closed and then for JC Penny until she retired. She was a great cook, loved to fish and kept her own yard for many years. She was preceded in death by her son, Winston Tucker, her husband, Gladstone Tucker and a great-grandson, Matthew.

Survivors include her children, Vivian (Larry) Gruber and Shelton (Janie) Tucker all of Albany, GA, a sister, Lillian Carver of Douglas, GA, five grandchildren, Ronnie (Diane) Gruber of Sylvester, GA, Phil (Amy) Gruber of Albany, GA, Becky Mathews of Albany, GA, Pati (Chas) Oliver of Alpharetta, GA and Scott Tucker of Albany, GA, her great-grandchildren, Charlie, Jaimie, Tyler, Dylan, Jacob, Justin, Ashley, Camren, Peyton and Avery, twenty great-great-grandchildren and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
