Lois Wallace Harris

Lois Wallace Harris, 96 of Lee County, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery. Dr. Morris Harp will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery

Born on December 18, 1929, in Morvan, Georgia, to the late Louie Paskel and Ida Swain Wallace. She worked for Harvey’s Super Market, in their produce section, until she retired in November of 1990. Lois had a passion for life that extended beyond her career. She found joy in reading, crocheting, and assembling puzzles. Many afternoons were happily spent watching westerns, with a particular fondness for "Gunsmoke". She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex M Hart, Sr. and William M. Harris, and her siblings, Ruth Horne, J.W. Wallace, Louie Wallace, Jr. , Nettie Frances Bailey, Maggie Harrison, Nellie Inez, Seward, Sara Inell, and Iona Strawder. 

Lois is survived by her children, Alex Hart (Sandy) and Patricia McGuire (Billy), both of Lee County, Georgia, Dorthey Marks of Cullman, Alabama. Also, by eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
