Lloyd Sanford Croy, Jr.

Lloyd Sanford Croy, Jr., 68, of Americus, GA, passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2023, at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. There will be no formal services and an inurnment will take place at Crown Hill Mausoleum. 

Lloyd was born on April 19th, 1955, in Albany, Georgia.  He graduated from Albany High School where is played football.  Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd S. Croy, Sr and Catherine Wade Croy and a brother-in-law, William S. Young, Sr.

Lloyd was a heavy equipment mechanic at Carlton Company, later he became self employed and worked as a skilled diesel mechanic, working  on farmers’ tractors, and ensuing that the agricultural machinery was always in excellent working condiition

Beyond his work as a diesel mechanic, Lloyd had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting. Whether he was casting a line at Lake Eufaula or exploring the woods, Lloyd's connection with the natural world brought him immense joy.

He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Croy DeLamar (Bobby) of Dawson, GA and Mary Croy Young of Albany, GA. Additionally, he is survived by his loving companion Donna Elton of Americus GA, and many nieces and nephews.
