Lex Lloyd Dorminey

Lex Lloyd Dorminey, 68, of Albany passed away Friday March 10, 2023.

Born December 1, 1954 in Adel, Georgia to Lloyd and Juanita Dorminey, Lex had a love of the outdoors from an early age. An avid fisherman and hunter; he was a lifelong member of the Flint Skeet and Trap Club and spent many days working around the club during his retirement, as well as a member of the Grey Ghost Dove Club and a former member of the Albany Bass Club.  

Lex worked in the packaging department at Miller Coors for 38 years and retired in 2017. He was a loyal member of IAM Local 2699. 

Survived by the love of his life, Debbie, his beloved dog, Dee, two children; Jennifer Cruz (Danilo) of Albany, Ashley Huskey (Parker) of Leesburg, an “adopted” daughter Shannon Williams of Albany, two grandchildren he adored Daviel and Lucy. His two sisters; Julia Dorminey of Norman Park and Sally Dorminey (Ernie) of Valdosta. Sister-in-laws Linda McIntosh (Mac) of Leesburg and Becky Stewart of Newport News, Virginia. Nieces and nephews; Erin Crain (Andy), Sarah Moman (Fiancé Zach), Nathan Moman (Jenn), Avery Crain, Hallie Crain.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd (Grandpa) and Juanita (Honey) Dorminey, his mother in law Lucille (Little Nanny) Stewart, and brother-in-law Barry Stewart.

Celebration of life to be announced at a later time.
