Lena Catherine Simmerman Miller

Lena Catherine Simmerman Miller, 99, of Albany, GA, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Palmyra Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Fred T. Miller and Rev. Lawrence Loughmiller will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Cordele, GA.

A native of Numa, Iowa, Mrs. Miller had resided in Lee County and Albany area since 2003. She was a homemaker and a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Miller.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Myrtle and Robert Jomant of Lee County, Barbara and Richard Banis of Marshall, NC and Judith and Dennis Krueger of Naples, FL, a son and his wife, Rev. Fred T. and Virginia Miller of Lake Village, IN, fifteen grandchildren, thirty one great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
