Kimberly Renee Apperson

Kimberly Renee “Kim” Apperson, 57, of Albany, GA, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at The Willson Hospice House.  A memorial service will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.  Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Kim was born in Albany, GA on October 6, 1965 to Olin and Dawn Apperson.  She grew up in Albany, graduated from Westover High School in 1983 and attended Albany Technical College where she majored in Data Processing.

Kim was employed with her father at Olin’s Sheetmetal for over thirty years and was a Christian by faith.  She enjoyed reading, loved adventures, including travel, hot air balloon rides and living on the edge.  Kim was preceded in death by a daughter, Megan J. Harris in 2013 and her father, Scolon “Olin” Apperson in 2020.

Survivors include her mother, Dawn Apperson of Albany, GA, her sister, Dana (Jason) Hager of Lee County, GA, a nephew, Jake Hager of Rome, GA and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
