Kimberlie Nikole English

Kimberlie Nikole English, 50, of Lee County, GA, passed away February 24, 2026 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The family will hold a private visitation at Mathews Funeral Home.

Kimberlie was born in Griffin, GA on August 12, 1975 to David Eugene Akins and Patricia Ann Gardner. She grew up in Leesburg, GA and attended Lee County High School and Albany Technical College. She was a Baptist by Faith, worked as a nutritionist and enjoyed bonfire’s, music, flowers, sunsets, but most importantly she loved her kids, grandchildren, being with them and helping people. Kimberlie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Gardner Burk and a brother, Bennie Hatcher

Survivors include her children, Jessica “Jessie” Burk of Cochran, GA, Michael “Bubba” Burk of Wetumpka, AL, Montana “Tana” Burk of Odenville, AL and Scott “Scottie” Burk of Lee County, GA, her father, David Akins, her sister, Kristie Hill, a brother, Shane Akins, five nieces and nephews and four grandbabies.
