In loving memory of Karel Deanne (Jolly) Rice.
On May 10, 2024, our beloved Deanne passed away after a long and courageous battle with multiple health challenges. She was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt cousin, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many.
Deanne was known for her strong work ethic and unwaveing commitment to her career. Her passion for excellence drove her to excel in her professional endeavors, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
She found solace and comfort in the familiar surroundings of her home. She spent cherished quiet moments spent with her loved ones, creating precious memories that will be treasured forever.
Her children, Savarrah Ann (Rice) Goss and John Earl Rice, Jr., remember her as a devoted and loving mother who always put their needs above her own. Her legacy lives on through her three grandchildren, Alexia Jadyn Goss, Chase Wyatt Rice and Toby Poseidon Rice, who brought immense joy and happiness to her life. She took great pride in watching them grow and succeed, showering them with love and affection at every opportunity.
Deanne was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Ann (Marshall) Jolly and Ronald Dee Jolly.
She is survived by her two children (Savarrah Goss and John Rice, Jr.), three grandchildren, three grandchildren Alexia Goss, Chase Rice and Toby Rice, two brothers (Ronnie Jolly and Steven Jolly), along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins,
Deanne is also survived by her former husband, John Earl Rice, who shared many cherished memories and experiences with her throughout the years. Though their diverged, their mutual love and respect endured, contributing to the strong bond within their family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) located at 29 Broadway, Floor 4, New York, NY 10006-311 in honor of Karel Deanne (Jolly) Rice.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Deanne's life and legacy. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her love and influence continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
