Melvin Bragg, 85, of Worth County died Wednesday, Nov 12, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, Febuary 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
A native of Moultrie Georgia, Julian proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958 - 1978. After retiring from the Navy, he worked as a civilian for 20 years at the Marine Corp Logistics Base in Albany, GA. Once retired, he spent time enjoying his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. He loved working on his farm in Worth county, where he lived the last 42 years of his life.
Julian was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Glenda Bragg, his parents, George and Lottie Bragg, brother, Merlin Bragg, and sister, June Castleberry.
Survivors include Julian's son, Scott Bragg (Rebel), daughter, Clancy Gilroy (Keith), grandchildren, Allison Bragg Ewing (Brad), Andrew Bragg, Ashley Bragg Russell (Steven), Abbie Bragg Heller (Clark), Daniel Gilroy, Savannah Gilroy, great grandchildren, Kiera Hensley, Dawson Hensley, River Bragg, Copeland Bragg, Elowen Bragg, Paislee Russell, Everley Russell, Wynnfrey Russell, Birdie Russell, Stevie Russell and Julian's brothers, Wayne Bragg, David Bragg, and sister's Linda Carr and Janice Lindsay.
