Judy Lee Kidd passed away surrounded by the love of her family, Friday, May 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William Wallace “Will” Kidd.
Judy was a loving and proud mother to Jennifer Kidd Trapnell (Jeffrey) of Athens, Georgia; Allison Wallace Kidd of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Collier Louis Kidd (Jenna) of Gray, Georgia. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren: Henry Smoot Trapnell, William Turner Trapnell, Wallace Kidd Trapnell, Jasper Boone Kidd, William Collier Cross, Griffin Augustus Kidd, and Lillian Gray Kidd.
She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Warren of Sylvester, Georgia.
Judy lived a life marked by service and community involvement. She was a past president of the Albany Junior League and Charity Leage of Albany, a member of the Serendipity Garden Club and Macon Civic Club. Among her many contributions, her most cherished volunteer work was with the Porterfield Children’s Ministry including the Terrific Tuesday program and Vacation Bible School, where she touched the lives of countless children and families.
Judy will be remembered for her deep love of family, her generous spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. A reception at 1:00 PM at Porterfield Methodist Church will be held followed by a service at 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Porterfield Children’s Ministry, 2200 Dawson Rd, Albany, GA 31707 or the Willson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA 31707.
Judy’s children would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jay McAfee, Dr. Thomas Neal, and the many nurses and caregivers at Phoebe Putney Hospital and Willson Hospice House for the outstanding care and compassion shown to their mother.
