Judy Bailey

Judy Mae Bailey (Hedges), 56, of Leesburg, Georgia died December 17, 2022.

Judy was born on September 3, 1966, in Delaware, Ohio to Villa Faye Green and the late Lloyd Omer Dibert Hedges, Jr. Judy was known as a hard worker, fun, loving and welcoming to all.

She was the beloved friend, wife and companion to Timothy Ralph Bailey of Leesburg beginning in 1987 then married on January 4, 1996. She loved photography, animals and her family despite their quirks and dysfunctions. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, resented them, forgave them but never stopped loving them. Besides her children her proudest accomplishment was obtaining her GED in 2005. Judy was also very proud of the work that she did with senior citizens.

Judy was a loving mother to Christina Renee Hedges, Micheal Alan Hedges (wife Brittany Hedges), Joan Marie Scarborough and Allyson Paige Bailey, grandmother of M’maly Colbert, Faith Colbert, Jaylen Hedges, Cameron Scarborough, Brayden Scarborough, Dallas Mathis and Sebastian Scarborough, great grandmother to Zai’dyn McDonald, and sister of Anna Katherine Wiggins, Wanda Lou Corbitt and Junior Lee Hedges. She is also survived by her best friend Sharon Stanford, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Judy was definitely one of a kind and to be loved by her was a true blessing. She will be deeply missed by all those that she left behind and by all who knew her.

The memorial service will be a private ceremony with only close friends and family members present.
