Mrs. Joyce Johnson Savage, born on October 22, 1952, in Sylvester, Georgia, to the late Almon and Wanda Strength Johnson, passed from this life on February 5, 2026 in Athens Ga.

Joyce attended school in Albany, Georgia, and was a member of the first graduating class of Westover High School in 1970. At just sixteen years old, she began what would become a distinguished thirty‑six‑year career with Southern Bell Telephone Company. Throughout her tenure, she held several positions and took great pride in being affiliated with such an outstanding company.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Savage.

She is survived by her devoted brother, David Johnson (Melinda), of Brooks, Georgia
