Joseph Whaley

Joseph Charles (Joe) Whaley, 85, of Albany, GA, died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Rob Henry will officiate.

Born in Shellman, GA, Mr. Whaley moved to Albany, GA in 1958 from Milton. FL. He was an owner/operator truck driver for most all of his life. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Elliott Whaley and Sara Law Whaley.

Survivors include his wife of forty two years, Louvenia Rae Whaley, Albany, GA, his children, Mary Jo Banks, Albany, GA, Yvonne Webb (Ronnie), Leesburg, GA, Gayle Hill, Leesburg, GA, Charles (Sonny) Whaley, Albany, GA, Laura Morgan, Athens, GA, a brother, Weldon Whaley, Amarillo, TX, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 18, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
