Jonathan (Johnny) Murray Henderson
Jonathan (Johnny) Murray Henderson, 72, of Albany, GA passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends Friday, March 22, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Johnny went to school in Coweta County and graduated from Newnan High School where he played football, baseball, track, and wrestling. He graduated from Columbus State University with degrees in Military Science and Education, and many life-long friendships. After graduation, Johnny worked at Great Dane in Atlanta, then moved to Albany to start his own business several years later in 1985. When he retired in 2021, he began travelling to many states to enjoy his hobby of poker playing. Johnny was a loving, caring, and giving person to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Henderson and Jeannine McGriff Henderson and a brother, Steve Henderson.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Jackson Henderson, a son, Bobby Henderson both of Albany, GA and a sister, Nancy Hawkins (Donnie), Omega, GA.
