John R. Stamps

John R. Stamps, 87, of Thomasville died Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Archbold Medical Center.

His funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Dawson, Mr. Stamps lived in Albany until 1979 when his job with Flint Beverage took him to Thomasville. He loved to hunt and fish, was an avid coffee drinker and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Evie Johnson Stamps and his wife Mary Paci Stamps.

Survivors include his daughters, Tina Marie Brandon (Claude), Robin Hayes (Trent), sons, Paul Stamps (Lori), David Stamps, Joe Stamps (Sherri), grandchildren, Christopher Stamps, Melody Stamps, David Logan Stamps, Jonathan Stamps, Mary Stamps, Elizabeth Stamps, Ray Brandon, B.J. McKeller, Blake Stamps, Heather Stamps, Alexis, Trent, Lauren, great grandchildren, Chelsie, Mary, Maverick, J.B., Riley, Benaiah, Wyatt and a brother Cecil Stamps.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
