John Michael Slocumb

John Michael Slocumb, 71, of Albany, GA, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. At his request there will only be a private memorial which includes his fiancee’ and a few friends. Bro. Danny Evans will officiate.

Born in Arlington, VA, Mr. Slocumb had lived in Texas for 22 years, but resided in Albany, GA since 2002. He worked as a truck driver, until his heart attack in 2008 when he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Putney. He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Slocumb and Betty Green Slocumb, one brother, Gary W. Slocumb, grandparents, uncles and aunts.

Survivor includes his financee’, Pamela A. Wilson and numerous friends.
