John H. Padden

MGySgt John H. Padden, USMC (ret), 69, of Lee County, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

His memorial service will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 20, 2021 at Mathews Funeral Home.  Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

A native of Milwaukee, WI, Mr. Padden was retired from the U. S. Marine Corps after 28 years of faithful service.  He was a member of the Marine Corps League, VFW Post 1503 American Legion Post 30 and the Moose Lodge 1285.

Survivors include his step daughter, Brenda Marsden (Allan), step son Sean Frederick (Krista), grandson, Marshall “Boone” Frederick, sister, Ilene Kruger, brothers, Robert “Bob” Padden, Patrick Padden (Von) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his companion, Donna Butler and her children, Leon Butler (Courtney) and Vicki Butler.

The family will receive friends following the service at the Moose Lodge.
