MSGT John Frederick Letsinger, USAF Retired, 85, of Albany, GA. died Saturday, September 13, 2025.
John was born to the late Elmer and Marie Letsinger in Tipton County Indiana. He served his country in the United States Air force, and retired as a Master Sergeant after twenty-two years of service.
John then went on to serve his country in civilian service, and worked for the Department of Defense for 18 years. In his work for the Department of Defense, he was a Quality Assurance Specialist for guided weapons systems. He also worked in SMT Surface Mount Technology for repairing Air Plane circuit boards. He enjoyed participating in shooting tournaments and won many events. His favorite event was Sporting Clays. John managed the website for (GSCA) Georgia Sporting Clay Association for many years, and also had served as a treasurer. He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching the Military channel, and NASCAR. John was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
He was kind and gentle man; who dearly loved his family, and his constant companion Choco.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Bob Letsinger, Mary Letsinger Redleman, Rita Letsinger Mote and Steve Letsinger.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Letsinger, his children, John William Letsinger, Ellen Kay Letsinger Crewse, (Mark), Todd Andrew Letsinger (Keturah), his step son Allen Wood, (Patty), his grandchildren, Elliana Letsinger, Scarlette Letsinger, Jake Wood, Miranda Wood Morgan (Nick), and a brother Francis Letsinger.

Funeral service will be October 8th at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Albany GA. 421 Edgewood Lane.
Service Begins at 1:00PM, followed with Military honors.
