John Edward Knighton

John Edward Knighton, 80 , of Albany, GA passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at his residence. The family will have a Celebration of Life service at Beattie Road Church of Christ Church, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with military honors. Mr. Paul Montandon will officiate.

Mr. Knighton was born in Albany, GA and had been a life long resident. He was a graduate of  Albany High School  and served in the US Army. He was retired from Bell South after thirty five years of service. He was a member of Beattie Road Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Knighton and Margaret Gaughf Knighton and a daughter, Heather Francine Fleming.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Elaine Sartain Knighton, Albany, GA, son, Jordan Knighton (Nikki), Worth Co., GA, daughter, Blaire Wilkerson, (Brad), Nashville, TN, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren, siblings, Susan Knighton Russell (Jim), Lake Blackshear), Cobb, GA, Kathy Knighton Mall, (Lake Blackshear), Cordele, GA, Sandy Knighton Harris (Kelly), (Lake Sinclair), Milledgeville, GA, Robert L. Knighton (Kathy), Hiwassee, GA.
