John Addison Drew

John A. Drew, 63, of Albany, GA died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2001 at 11:00 AM at Leesburg Cemetery. Dr. Ronald R. Baxley and Dr. Morris Harp will officiate.

A native of Americus, GA, John had resided in Albany for the past fifteen years, moving from Valdosta, GA. He was a retired Counselor with State of GA Department of Corrections, taught History, Sociology and Criminal Justice at Andrew College, Cuthbert, GA. John was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Addison Drew and Jenny Lou Herndon Drew, a brother, Ken Drew.

Survivors include his wife, Henrietta "Henri" Drew of Albany, GA, sister-in-law and her husband, Sue and Samuel Jackson of Savannah, GA several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
