Jim Tom Evans

Jim Tom Evans, 90, of Albany, GA passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026.

Born September 9, 1935 in Gordon, Alabama to Levi Washington Evans and Bessie Thompson Evans.

Tom enjoyed a fulfilling career as a business owner and barber for 66 years. He enjoyed woodworking and restoring older homes. He will be remembered most for his love for his family and his generous spirit.

Tom is survived by his wife of 72 years, Benita, his daughter Sharon Harris (Jeff), granddaughter, Ivy Chupp (Jay), his great grandsons Colson and Hudson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister, a niece and 2 nephews.

His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, July 3, 2026 at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel.
