Jerry Dan Jolly, 82, of Dawson, died January 6, 2026 at his home.

Jerry’s wishes were to be cremated and there are no formal services planned at this time.

Jerry was born in Randolph County, March 23, 1943 to John Robert Jolly and Fannie Faircloth of Graves and lived in Terrell County all of his life. He was a long and short haul truck driver for 42 years and for a short period he farmed for Bill Newman farms. Thirty-six years of his driving was with the Boyd Family retiring with Jim Boyd Construction in Albany at the age of 72 and after retiring drove a short while with Hall Landscape.

He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Camp 141, Lifetime Honorary member of the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home and Graves Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-five years Rachel Cook Jolly in 2018 and his brother Joe Robert Jolly.

He is survived by his son Jerry David Jolly and two grandchildren, Jack and Alivia Jolly of Enterprise, AL, two step daughters, Lynn Hollister Tabb, Lee County, Lisa Lash Page (Earl), Terrell County and 8 step grandchildren. Sister, Jeanan Jolly Jones (Don), Blue Ridge, GA a niece and 3 nephews, sister-in-law Dorothy Jolly, Cordele.
