Janice Mae Jordan Eubanks

Janice Jordan Eubanks, 83, of Albany, GA died Friday, October 6, 2023 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Morgan Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Morgan City Cemetery. Rev. Chris Holdorf and Rev. Jim Eubanks will officiate.

Janice was born in Wilson, AR and was an Honor Graduate from Arlington High School. She was a kindergarten teacher at Southwest Georgia Academy and later attended Georgia Southwestern University where she received a Master’s Degree in Special Education. Janice then returned to the classroom at Calhoun County High School as a teacher and then the Director of Special Education.

Janice was a very active member of Morgan Baptist Church where she served many years as Choir Director and served her church in many other areas. Monday afternoons she could be found with her dear friends gathered around a table playing Canasta. Her family knew not to interrupt the Canasta game!

Her heart belonged to her six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Mae Jordan, and her sister, Joyce Bradley.

Survivors include her sons, Jim Eubanks (Debbie) and Jeff Eubanks (Susan) all of Albany, GA, her daughter Jill Duncan (Ronnie) of Davisboro, GA, grandchildren, Mallory Sandiford (Alan), Ocilla, GA, Sgt. Logan Eubanks, Okinawa, Japan, Morgan O’Quinn (Wesley), Statesboro, GA, Adam Eubanks, Albany, GA, Noah Duncan, Athens, GA, Lily Duncan, Davisboro, GA, and great grandson, Nash Sandiford, Ocilla, GA.
