Mr.  James Terry Parker, Sr. 79, of Albany died Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Wilson Hospice. All family and friends are invited to the graveside service which will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery, 1907 Dawson Rd, Albany, GA. Reverend Bobby Parker will be officiating.

Terry was born in Albany, GA, graduated from Albany High School and attended Troy State University in Troy, AL.

He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and a former member of First Free Will Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Navy, stationed at The Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He received the National Defense Service Medal while serving. He, along with his father, Bill Parker, owned and operated Parker Tire Company.

Terry was an avid golfer, devoted Atlanta Braves fan and immensely enjoyed his gardening. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will always be loved and cherished by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Terry Parker, and Mary Mills Parker.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ann Parker, daughter Piper Crews (Don), sons Jimbo Parker (Ashley) of Tallahassee, FL, and Phil Parker of Albany, four grandchildren, Addi Ford of Albany, and Jack, Caroline and Owen Parker of Tallahassee, FL, brother, Rev. Bobby Parker (Phyllis) of Lake City, SC, and sister Tina Eubanks of Albany, nieces and nephews, Tracy Neal of Lakeland, FL, Terry Muggridge (Rick), Jody Turnipseed, Mark Turnipseed of Albany, Mike Turnipseed of Valdosta, Stephanie Hall of St. Louis, MO, Dean Hambright (Shelly) of Pigeon Forge, TN, Derek Hambright (Selena) of Albany, Dr. Chandler Turnipseed (Vanessa) of Atlanta, Stephanie Marshburn (Tim) of Greenville, NC, Robin Parker of Chattanooga, TN, David Dodgen (Amy) and Laura Bryant (Austin) of Albany.
