James Dudley Jones

James “Dudley” Jones, of Albany, GA died Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Pruitt Health in Sylvester, GA.  Graveside funeral  service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at  Floral Memory Gardens. Mr. Chris Gilbert and Mr. Clifford Singleton will officiate.

Dudley was born in Blakley, GA to the late Edmond Paul and Georgia Elizabeth Jones. His family moved to Albany in 1950 and he graduated from Albany High School. He served his country in the Navy for twenty years and after retiring he worked as a correctional officer for Lee County for twenty-two years.

He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed going to Biloxi MS.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jones and his daughter Bonnie Sue Jones 

He is survived by a sister, Martha J. Horne of Sylvester, his nieces and nephews, Leslie Gilbert, Lisa Hathcock, Chris Gilbert, special friends Clifford and Trina Singleton.
