James "Jimbo" M. Houston

James “Jimbo” Houston, 69, of Albany, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Willson Hospice House.

Jimbo was born in Albany, Georgia, to the late Marion Ray Houston and Jimmie Houston Farmer. He dedicated more than 30 years of his life to the trucking industry as a Less-than-Truckload (LTL) truck driver and had retired from Millis Trucking Company.

Outside of work, Jimbo enjoyed spending time doing one of his favorite things — shooting pool. You could often find him at Breaktime Billiards, where he enjoyed the game and the fellowship of friends. He was also a devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. As Jimbo would say, GO DAWGS!

Those who knew Jimbo will remember him for his kind heart, easy smile, and the genuine love he showed to everyone around him. He had a way of making people feel welcome, and he was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Jimbo was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Gail Lopez.

Survivors include his sister, Phyllis Houston of Lee County; his nephews and niece, Tony Lopez (Cathy), Paul Lopez, and April Lopez; his brother-in-law, Raul Lopez; and his great-nieces, Alyssa Lopez and Brenda Lopez.

In accordance with Jimbo’s wishes, no services will be held.
