James B. Castleberry

James B. Castleberry, 65., of Dawson, GA., died Thursday, March 13, 2025 at his daughters’ residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

James grew up in Leesburg, GA and graduated from Lee County High School in 1980 and played tennis while in school. He went on and served his country in the United States Navy. James enjoyed playing phone games and spending time with his granddaughters. In his spare time James like to fish and being around horses. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents G.W. and Irma Castleberry.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Bell, his stepdaughter, Emma Laseter, Elizabeth's half sister, Samantha Fleming and three granddaughters, Tiffany Flowers, Lara Flowers and Georgia Bell, the mother of his daughter, Tonya Hayes and Elizabeth’s stepmother Heidi Cook.
